What is BETA Backers?

BETA Backers connects Minnesota's top emerging startups with active investors.

The BETA Team sources and vets both investors and startups to make unique matches based on industry, investment thesis, and startup stage.
STARTUPS

BETA Alumni and startups participating in the BETA Cohort receive priority access to Backers. Exceptions may be made to accommodate teams from Greater Minnesota along with other rapidly scaling startups.

Most teams meet the following criteria:

  • Working full time on their startup
  • Based in Minnesota
  • With a scalable tech-enabled product or service
  • That is in market/able to be sold
  • Actively fundraising
INVESTORS

Are you an early-stage investor interested expanding your access to Minnesota-based startups? Active investors meeting any of the following criteria are encouraged to apply:

  • Accredited angel investors
  • Pre-Seed Stage angel groups
  • Pre-Seed Stage venture groups
  • Seed Stage angel groups
  • Seed Stage venture groups
  • Series A Stage venture groups
